Happened upon the above documentary yesterday on BBC Four, all aboot the British motorcycling from its beginnings up until the 60s., well worth a watch. The bloke doing a land speed record at Bonneville in just his swimming trunks, (and helmet, safety first and all that!!), lying flat on the bike deserves a special mention!!!

Lamb Engineering
Saw these bikes at a show last year, not sure how practical either bike is, but the attention to detail and engineering involved is amazing, and the choice of powerplant is refreshing to.
I remember the first time I saw a CBX engined chop, and thinking, "that is a bloody wide engine". I love what they have done here, as sparse as the bodywork is the engine doesn't dominate everything, rather it compliments everything else, it almost seems to just hang below the tank.

Sticker love
Recently I bought a t-shirt from Death Spray Custom, http://blog.deathspraycustom.com/ . The t-shirt arrived promptly, and within its folds was this sticker!!, now as I said to Mr DSC in an emither, it really is very sad the a nigh on 40 year old, (next year), gets overly excited aboot a little square of self adhesive vinyl, but I did/ do. The BMX Buddha has always been in the borders of his blog, and low and behold, I'm now the proud owner of a copy, its almost too good to use, (nothing is worthy of its placement, its up there with the Mambo sticker of a dog lighting its own fart!!). I think when I get my bike back on the road, I may ask Mr DSC if he'll paint BMX BUDDHA on my lid, who knows.

FAO Mr Whitelinepsycho
After reading a post on http://whitelinepsychos.blogspot.com/ it reminded me of when I went to Dragstalgia in the pissing rain at Santa Pod. Its all about old school drag racers, pre 1960 in the main I think.

Endurance Racers
Race bikes are great, nothing unnecessary, stripped down to the bare bones to get the most power to weight without compromise, endurance racers take this to another level, (imho); they've got to be fast as fook, not just for 25 laps, but for hours, but at the same time they've got to take the knocks and abuse!! Check out the quick release brake lines in the second photo.

Brit Chopper
For some reason, when I think of a Brit chopper, this is the sorted of bike I think of; hardtail, inline four, ape hangers, and short, "normal forks".
Local Guzzi
This beasty used to be in a nearby village, haven't seen it in a while, although every so often parked up in its place is an NTV 500!! Nice and simple, nothing flash.
