Number 12

Whilst pottering around the pits at Red Marley, I came across NUMBER 12, as if classic hillclimbing isn't mad enough, they do it on a classic harley with a suicide shift, (correct me if I'm wrong), because everyone knows you don't need both hands on the bars to get to the top!!  The faint whiff of something "herbal" in the air may have explained the reasoning behind it, I'm just glad they brought it along and had a go at the hill.

Nothing the delicate application of a hammer won't straighten.

More Marley

I'm no expert on old bikes, but I can appreciate a bit of engineering.  The above bike pulled into the pits, nothing flash, but nicely finished, like the sculpted oil tank under the seat, and the battery nestled behind the headlight.
 Correct PPE
I love this bike, just madness!!
 Who needs a gearbox??
Ready for the off!!

More flying

I know its more of the same, but I just can't get over how they're riding those bikes!!

Red Marley, Easter Weeken

Went to the Red Marley hillclimb yesterday, in Worcester, a 3 hour drive away, well worth it.  I got plenty of photos, but this little set just make me chuckle, just look how far and high the bloke on the blue bike is travelling, on a vintage off roader!!!!  I shall post more soon.

Inspiration

I think the following Fireblade would be my ideal bike, (found on the most excellent http://rocket-garage.blogspot.co.uk/ ), other than the front number board and ickle headlight, (twin spotlights with KC daylighter covers, or a single rectangular headlight), I'd be a happy chap.

And no ram air!!!!
